that looks pretty cool.
So if you have a riser with 4 rod holders....does that mean you need 4 of the new adjustable grommets?.....that could get expensive at $5 each...especially if you've got 7 of the 4 rod holders....28 rod holders icon_eek.gif

It will let you adjust the angle of the rod. I like my rods pointing straight out if I am using the baitclickers and more upright towards 45 degrees when drifting. This allows you the ability to adjust without having to pull the riser out of the base and turning it around.

Michael,

More than likely the current holders yall have have the angles grommets. Tunred one way, the rod will stick up in the air. Turned the other way, it will point more towards the water. This is handy depending on the style you will be fishing. Usually, if you are shallow, then you want the ros down giving you more hookset when they run off with it. If you are drifting, getting the rod tips up in the air helps. I hear it is good for crappie too. something about seeing the bite.

These new grommets would allow you to not turn the heads on them at all and then adjust to many different heights/angles.

thanks. A little knowledge can be dangerous (especially in my hands). Keith and I have been doing the turn the bee-ready around thing when drifting, but we have more fund fishing shallow.

When the retro-fit kits arrive I will offer them to LLF and NTACATS members at a discounted price. They will be $4.00 instead of the $5.50 each.
