I could catch a few perch of any size around Lavonia tomm a.m.? My Churches mens group is having a little get together out there and I'm sorta the church fisherman. I've never fished out of Lavonia and since this will be a bankin situation, I'm looking for any ideas. icon_redface.gif

There are some rocks around the ramp inside the park that should hold perch. Also the whole shoreline from the ramp towards Mallard should produce & you might want to be prepared for sandbass cause they will school along that same shorline.
...Don

Thanks Don.. I hope I can just help some folks catch something. The location was chosen so everyone could find it, and the turnout would be good.

Get some little George's or anything you can cast far & you should be able to get some sandies. You can also catch some cats from that shore, just get some worms & fish a Carolina rig on the bottom & you should get bit by something. We use to camp there & that shoreline was always good for something. Even caught a 5lb blackbass on dead shad while catfishing. If you have a net you should be able to get some shad at the ramp.

that shoreline towards the tressell is shallow and wide and very grassy... you better be ready to chunk and wind fast
