I've not had my boat on Lavon yet and I would like to do it this year. The closest ramp for me is the one at Caddo Park just east of the 380 bridge, but every time I drive by, it appears that the park is closed.

Does anyone know the deal there?

Thanks,
Jason

It has been closed since the drought in 2006. I thought I read where they were doing renovations to the park, but have never seen any work at the place. Drove by there once a week all summer and never saw a change. This ramp normally closes in the winter, but like you would sure like to see it open this Spring! icon_smile.gif

Anyone go by Caddo Park this weekend?

I have seen at least one person launch from there in the past couple weeks. A couple of days the gate was open and then it was closed again.

Also, I might have been daydreaming, but everytime I pass Mallard it is also open. Strange.

Talked to the park attendant at Caddo Park. He said they are open for good now due to being closed so much last summer. Goes for a couple of more ramps too. Mallard has been open for awhile.

I don't know why they don't fix it, but I noticed that it is still messed up. That is one of the main reasons to go to that ramp versus the one right up the road.

Maybe a volunteer day once a year to take care of things like that could be arranged.
