Larry and I rolled down there this afternoon...big gizzards were thick. Go to where Rowlett Rd crosses Rowlett Creek just East of Centerville. Park where the other cars are on the east side of the bridge, go under the bridge North maybe 150 yards. Filled a 3 gallon bucket with gizzards up to 12'' in 30 min _________________ John Davis

Well.... what I meant by tricky is more or less legality related.
I didn't know whether or not casting nets in creeks is restricted, but I guess you sound fairly certain that it's ok, which is GREAT!

Hey no problem guys. Just an angler helping other anglers. I was at rowlett creek and i saw some dudes cast netting lol. I know it had to be one of you. I caught 4 Hybrids that day. 3 Keepers and 1 was undersized and released. You guys wanna go for Hybrids at the creek let me know. Im working on a fishing boat right now. Should be up and running in a week or so. Hopefully, some of you guys can show me the ropes on boat fishing at Lavon lake. I go for everything from Crappie, Catfish, Hybrids, and Stripers. No White bass, i prolly got about 50 in my freezer right now.

Good Afternoon! I just got back from the creek. I threw my 5ft cast net for 45+ minutes and I caught some small 3" to 4" Shad (and a bunch of small Sandies) But I could not locate the elusive Large Gizzards! What time of the day are you guys catching them out there?

Shad behind the dam are real spread out with the water not running... Can anyone point me in the right direction for some shad. Going either tonight or in the morning.
