It's a Large Mouth Bream. _________________ Bravery: letting someone give you drugs to make you sleep so that a large man can take a blade to your groin.

You can catch those anywhere close to the shore where there are rocks. _________________ Married men don't live longer, it just seems longer!

I stand corrected.
You'd think I'd know the difference considering my avatar.

don't know that i have ever seen a warmouth then. I have caught all kinds of perch, but never ones as pink as that one. We used to catch bream all the time on crickets. THey were big bluegill and chinquapin (don't ask if i am spelling this right or what - just what they were called). THey had less color than the bluegill and typically would come larger. I am from LA ya know. _________________ Joe Simpson

Oh i threw it back, notice i said I "bet" they eat pretty good. Just guessing. usually those perch type fish have great flavor if you can get a mess big enough to fry up.

Green ear and warmouth look similar but the one in the pic is fo sho a green sunfish and not a warmouth. Look at the comparison in the 2 pics. Its crystal clear.
And welcome to the forum
