I am more than willing to buy the gas if anyone has a open seat. I like to fish for crappie, catfish, or bass. I am an experienced fisherman, have quality tackle and know how to use it. I don't own a boat larger than a canoe and a mini-boat at the moment and haven't found freinds who fish yet.

I am on vacation for the next two weeks and my schedule is very flexable. I won't mind short notice, I'm not a pain in the boat and I have not yet heard all your "fish stories". Let me know if you have an empty seat and don't want to go fishing by your lonesome self.

Thanks

Thanks!
Folks here seem friendly.

This is my youngest son and I fishing out of the mini-boat recently. We have caught a lot of little bass in that lake. However, I do have to watch the wind in that little tub.

Hello,

I am new to the area, sorta, meaning I am new to fishing in this area. I have been living near Lavon for a few years but have just started to fish around here. I used to own and keep an Ultralight on the big peninsula that sticks out into lake Lavon.

Anyway, I am new to fishing around here, I just picked some new gear and have been driving to all the parks and ramps around the lake looking for spots to drop my line into. Also keeping an eye out for excellent places to hang my hammock, but that is a posting for another forum.

I am not ultra serious, but I aminterested in a less solitary form of fishing. So I have been poking around the internet, googling and such, to find a club or group that looks like a place I could hang at and get to know some good folks. No such luck so far, but I did find this site and this forum. More importantly I see that people are active here and willing to reach across and shake your hand.

So here I am, I do not have a boat ( I need to get that one past the boss, wish me luck). But I do have some cash to buy gas, willingness to clean up my mess. I know some good jokes, and I can carry on a good conversation, or just sit quietly and soak in the miracle of nature. I live in Allen, my real name is Ben.

If you have a spot on one of your next outings, or just want to stand on shore and tell lies about the last fish you "almost" caught, I am around.

Regards

Big Ben
