Thinking about heading up to Texoma this weekend, have any of you guys got any tips on where to try? I will probably launch from Highport and only be using topwater and slabs. Any help at all would be great its been a number of years since I have been up there.

Thanks,

A buddy was on a guided trip three weeks ago. The Guide said slabs were just starting up, so I'd assume you're plan is good. The Islands are always good to us.

Hey Jake, I have been out of town & just now saw this post. We were up a couple weeks ago and did well around the Light House area just north of Highport. Smaller fish on top & better fish on slabs below.

I was there on Sunday. We launched from Eisenhower, and then headed for the first group of boats. They will be busting top water in the morning, but after it heats you wont see them. Get out there before the sun comes up and bait is easier to catch. The guides we saw using live shad where fishing a little off the bottom. We were throwing slabs and burning them back to the boat, I had a chrome and red one and not a single bite. The guys in the boat using yellow or white were doing well.
