Any of you guys ever use one of these magic green lights at night to catch baitfish? Watching the video on one of the websites you just turn this thing on and your bait bucket fills itself. Looks like this isn't the only green light on the market.
Just looking for some ideas or experience catching minnows/bait at lavon.

A few years back on a summer night my pops and I did a night drift in the middle of the lake and had our white styrofoam light in water as we were fishing. I looked down at it and noticed a bunch of bait fish gathering around it. Got the cast net out and threw it right around it, filled a 5 gallon bucket in just two throws full of shad...

Is it better drift fishing with them or anchored?

anchored? and you'll find these lights at sports academy for about twenty four dollars. and dont forget to get the two, two oz weight wich will keep the light just at the right deph.

I picked up some chemical light sticks at WMart. They are about 8" long with a ring at the end. They will burn for up to 12 hours and only $2.00 for a pack of 2.

so you guys are sinking these lights several feet in the water? Then do you fish right up next to them or at the other end of the boat? I guess they attract bait fish, which attracts the larger fish?

I like to keep it high enough to see the glow in the water.
