|
| Just bought some cast nets on sale at Academy on 75/Forest. 3 1/2 ft up to 5 ft are all on sale for $19.99 . I'm crossing my fingers the 6 ft will be on sale some time soon. They were at their regular price of $32.

Hey Dave,
How have you been? I haven't been able to fish that much lately, too busy at work this time of year. Also, I didn't have any fishing gear to go out with! A few weeks back someone broke into my storage place and took ALL my stuff! 10 rods and reels plus my two tackle boxes. Now I am slowly putting everything together.
I'm eager to go back to Bolivia for a few weeks in July and visit family and friends. I've talked to my fishing buddies there and fishing is phenomenal! Big cats (60 +) are being caught on all the small tributaries of the amazon. We've just went through the high rainy season so fishing should get better as the water levels go down. I'll post my results then.

Federico, sorry to hear about the break-in and theft. If you would like to borrow some gear I have plenty.
PM me if you would like and I'll give you my cell #.

Hey federico,
I had a bunch of stuff stolen from storage recently too. I got my reels back but not the rods.
Good thing is we found out the name of the thief and the police run a trace on the name through all the local pawn shops and found my wakeboard and battery charger.
If you want some info on the detective that might be able to help you send me a PM _________________ Life isn't like a box of chocolates..... more like a jar of jalapenos. What you do today, might burn you tomorrow !!

I've never seen a 7' at Walmart. For that matter I haven't been able to find a 7' at Academy either lately. We had to break down about a month ago and buy one of those newer style nets (5' was all they had ) from Walmart in Wylie and that's the last time I'll ever make that mistake. Those weights (not lead) hang up on the net about every other throw, and after throwing a 7' that 5' felt like fighting with one arm behind yer back....and blindfolded! _________________ John Davis

Johnny, not all walmarts carry the 7ft. 5ft is the standard that they carry.. I was able to get the number off the 7ft from smiffy and had my buddy who runs the sports dept at my store order some.. _________________ BigBrad
