| If your in need of bait, go to the spillway and throw less than ten times and you'll be set. went a couple saturdays ago, so thick had about 300 in two throws, went yest. in the blazin heat around 2'o'clock about 20 throws and go five big gizzards and 200 nice shad! the little creek inlet was producing all the gizzards and the main river had all the shad. There Thick everyday I go, if you need them go there!

If the shad are in there thick would it be worth it to throw a line in looking for catfish? Iquiring minds want to know...
I have the urge to leave my desk, run out the door and drive to the spillway for shad. But I don't think I will get to fish in the next day or two. _________________ "I was getting too many snakes in the house, otherwise I would have stayed,"

| it could be worth it, me and my paps through out a line last time and he caught three nice channels and they were using live perch there and caught some good flatheads, if you can keep the shad alive throw it out and you could hook into something nice

The shad were still there on Thursday evening. I don't throw worth a darn but I was still able to get plenty for my couple of hours of fishing. Caught a few gizzards, not that many but boy were they big. Since I had lugged my stuff down there I went ahead and fished there and all I caught were a couple of gasper goo.
Also had the once in a lifetime opportunity to fish next to some well equipped anglers. They were using Coke bottles and fishing lines. I can only assume that they were using such modest fishing gear just to be sporting. _________________ "I was getting too many snakes in the house, otherwise I would have stayed,"

It's usually cause they got no license & can run away if they see GW without leaving expensive tackle.

Yeah, I should have put the wink smilie on there. Pretty obvious that these gents were most like document impaired in several ways. _________________ "I was getting too many snakes in the house, otherwise I would have stayed,"
