Friday got out there late 6:30 start and fished until 12:00. 5 in the boat (all went back) without picture because they were pretty small @ 1/2 to 3/4 lb. Lost 2, one on top early with a Spro Frog and one on a drop shot 3" green worm. The 5 landed were with C-Rig Green lizard, Crank bait (shallow runner) and 1 on a jig n pig (green) Blue didn't get bit.
Saturday was great boat traffic wise. Everyone was asleep. Got to East Fork @ 5:40 and waited until 6 for them to open. Didn't know that they were closed until 6 icon_cry.gif Oh well... I know now. We did about the same on Sat. 5 fish landed 3 that got away. It seems that I need to do something different, so I can land the bigger fish. The fish on Sat. were caught on jig n pig (green) Two good fish were lost on crank baits. I need to take the back hooks off and replace them with better hooks. I wasn't happy with losing those fish. Oh well, they are still out there making fun of me.
We also caught a drum (crank bait) brim (small Pop R) crappie 13 1/2"(crank bait) and sandy's were everywhere we went. We would take a break every once in a while to throw at them. Sandies are easy and fun.
ps. It was hot out there. I didn't run into a single idiot out there. Nobody ran up on us, I let my buddy run the trolling motor and I had to tell him to have respect a couple of times for land locked anglers. There were a ton of them. Hey, we have all been there. No pics this time, the fish that were landed were too young to photo.
