This is a factoid that wuz in the dallas morning news this morning. Really is sickening but is the truth!

But don't hold your breath. Did you hear about the U.S. Senator who dared to utter the inconvenient truth about the poor quality of U.S. leadership and followership in taking on the booming entitlements disaster?

"In what I regret to call a conspiracy of silence among all of the presidential candidates and most members of Congress, few of us are willing to talk about the real problem," he said. "Why? Because of the fear that if you address the issues honestly, you will lose votes - and possibly the election."

That brave senator had one colleague who rose to agree with him, saying of the Congress, "Deep down in our hearts we know that we have bankrupted America and that we have given our children a legacy of bankruptcy. We have defrauded the country to get ourselves elected."

Good, right?

Actually its depressing. Why? Because Sen. Warren Rudman, R-NH and Sen. Jack Danforth, R - MO, made those statements, respectively, in 1992!

Both left the Senate at the end of their terms. Nothing has changed - except that we're 16 years closer to the day of fiscal reckoning that will make this bleak and anxious autumn seem like a season in the sun." end quote.

Now IMHO that day of "fiscal reckning" has come to past. Unfunded existing liabilities (IOU's because those idiots in Washington spent it without replacement, starting with President Johnson and every other President since) for Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid are an almost unfathomal number of 52 Trillion dollars!

Just to put this number into a form everyone can identify with...that is $455,000 of debt for each American family. Ya'll all got $455,000 vacation homes out there you be paying on right now don't ya? Or, ya already has an additional $455,000 you can just lovingly give to Washingtom to make things right! Well don't ya?

This last hog slop banker bailout will most likely be well over a trillion and the financial credit problem is still bringing this country and the WORLD economy to it's knees.

The combined debt for Americans last year equalled the total GDP of this nation. That folks is bankrupty before you figure in the financial bailout and the Social Security issue.

Since this nation has murdered 35 million Americans through abortion (10% of our total population that wuz just snuffed out and not allowed to enjoy the freedoms we take for granted), there are less souls to shoulder this burden. Bet if Washington had ever realized that legalized abortion would reduce the tax coffers, thoughts of legalized abortion would have been tossed out with the bath water long before it became a hidious reality.

Folks better start saving yer money for retirement cuz there ain't gonna be enuf folks to shoulder this burden and it be painfully obvious there ain't gonna be nuthin from the government. I shudder to think whut kind of government we will have in 20 to 40 years. I'm afraid it won't be a democracy anymore but rather will be some form of socialistic nightmare.

Congress won't do anything so WE, the American people must take back our nation now wihout delay! Vote out all the incumbents and press the people that are voted into office to pass term limits and do away with all the perks Washington has heaped upon themselves whilst relying on their constituents to pay the freight! It has got to stop NOW!

I apologize folks in advance for my tirade! I am just completely fed up with the sleaze in Washington. Kinda like Eddie Chiles used to say..."I'm mad as hell and I ain't gonna take it no more!"

Hope ya'lls day goes well and somebody gets to fish whilst we still have that freedom to exercise and enjoy!

In order for our government to understand, I believe we need more independents and 3rd parties. Maybe then, the REPs and DEMs will wakeup and stop caitering to lobbyies/special interests and do what is right for America.

Althought, it all the incumbents in this election cycle were also voted out, that might wake them up a little.

Independents, 3rd parties, dems, repubs, they're all politicians which means crooks... I hate career politicians of any party... They're there for their own agenda, and their own gain, not the american public... Them bastages work for us... We're the boss, not them... Fire their a$$es, and get them the heck outta there.. Ronald Regan is rolling over in his grave b/c of this crap that's goin on...

Congress is to blame for all this crap goin on.. Not the President.. He can't do crap without their approval.. Thats why their approval rating is lower than the presidents... Thanks again democrat congress... I appreciate all you've done to better my country... What they need to do is get an equal amount of dems, and repubs in congress so their isn't anymore than the other, and make them work together... As long as one party has an advantage nothing will ever get done... I don't any faith anything will get done the other way either, but I swear my two kids don't bicker as much as these children in congress do... 4yrs and your done.. Period.. no questions asked... that will eliminate career politicians, and get people in there that actuall wanna be what their supposed to be, public servants... That means they serve us, not us serve them... If they wanna bail out these companies b/c of their poor decisions,, then let them do it.. I sure as heck know I don't wannae be paying for it and my kids paying for it.. That bailout was the worst thing we coulda done..
