Took my daughter out fishing and she landed her first ever fish. Only thing that would have been better is if it was a catfish!
In case everyone wants to know, this monster was caught on a grasshopper in 1 foot of water. _________________ Joe Simpson

Looks like you had a nice day out there Joe. I bet she was happy with it whatever the size right ?
Start 'em young and let them get the bug early.
I think there is a pic on this forum of me with a fish like that somewhere _________________ Life isn't like a box of chocolates..... more like a jar of jalapenos. What you do today, might burn you tomorrow !!

I have 2 boys that i will get hooked on fishing when they get older. I think this one is probably done with fishing....
She had more fun catching the grasshoppers. She had a really good bluegill on right after that, but she got scared and handed me the rod. I went on to catch several big bluegill and 5 largemouth bass up to about 3 pounds.
I didn't have my cat gear with me, so I threw the little sucker back. _________________ Joe Simpson

i take it you probably took her to a little pond that's usually the best way to get the little ones hooked on fishin . _________________ A good friend will come and bail you out of jail...but, a true? friend will be sitting next to you saying, "dang...that was fun!"

yeah. it was a small pond of a friend. We were goofing off and catching a few fish. There are actually about 12 ponds out there, but they are all small. Most are drying up. _________________ Joe Simpson

That's excellent - I love the look on their faces when they realize there is something alive on the other end of that line - my boy tries to reel while jumping up and down at the same time... _________________ Kam Minatrea

Nothing like kids catching fish. She's a cutie Joe! Better keep your eye on her!
You know, when I was dating, it was a big plus if the girl wasn't a total girlie girl. If they could bait a hook, handle a fish, or shoot a gun, they were something special in my book.
All my kids can fish. They don't like it as much as me, but that's okay. _________________ You think THAT'S hard, try naming two cities in New Hampshire!

she is something else.
I don't think she will be the outdoors type. I had to work to get her to take the pic.
My boys will be into I think. They are not yet 3, so I guess I have to wait a while to find out. _________________ Joe Simpson
