Well, here I am divorced again. I live in Sachse these days and figure that with my son getting bigger it is time to fish!! Currently, I am boatless but I think I will be able to piece together a little jon boat outfit for next year. In the meantime I am stuck on the bank...

Anyone have any bank fishing suggestions? I really don't care much WHAT I catch I would just like to hook a few. I know jack nothing about fishing, well, except perhaps bowfishing, and need suggestions on what, when, where and how, preferably on Lavon.

Thanks in advance all.

This isn't on lavon but I took my daughter to celebration park in Allen 2 weekends ago and she had a ball. Check out my post in "Other Lakes". I don't know how old your son is, but if ya'll have the luck we did, he would have fun. There were tons of small perch. When I say small, I mean small, but we caught a bunch of them.

I'd go to a community lake before I took a yound child to Lavon for bluegill. Marinas are great for brim.

We are making the rounds of the community ponds and lakes per the info from you guys. Having fun catching the little stuff. My kid is perch catchin age so he enjoys it. I was hoping to start to develop my own fishing skills though...and the lake is so tempting to me!!
