| Hey guys..I'm new to the forum and new to Lavon. Me and a couple buddies are camping out at east fork park this weekend. I have a little jon boat with a 5 hp on it. I would love to get into some sandies...or really anything. Are there any good spots near where we are camping? Thanks.

You should find some sandys at the mouth of the cove there at East Fork, pay close attencion to east point.
Streight across the lake would be a good place too but check the weather first.
Catfish has ben there at East Fork when the wind is from the north.
Good luck! _________________ I use to live to fish.

| Thanks so much for the reply. When you say the mouth of the cove there at East Fork which cove do you mean? The cove on the east or the west side of the park. I am looking at google maps and it looks like the cove to the east side has a spillway or something out in mouth of the cove. Is that the cove you are talking about? Thanks again.

| The other day some folks were catchin sandies just outside of the no wake bouys at the marina ramp. Just out from the pavillion in the cove. Around 7 am, but they were small.

I was referring to the point across the cove going from the main lake to the marina. _________________ I use to live to fish.

I believe that you are looking at the correct area. There is a water intake in the east side of the cove. The intake has bouys around it, just make sure that you stay outside those bouys. Just an FYI. The game warden and park rangers keep their boats at EF. They will easily spot you from the parking lot if you are inside the bouys. Not sure what the fine is, but I don't want to find out either.
