This is what the north colin park marina looked like last year this time. (Actually it was a bit dryer and more overgrown.) The location I took the picture is at the point and is currently many feet under water. I DROVE there from Brockdale! (but don't tell anyone!)

And take a look at the damage (erosion) caused by those "little drives" to the shoreline at Brockdale Park.

The regulations in Title 36 CFR 327 are there for a reason. To protect the natural resources under our care and to protect the citizens that we serve. More than one person sank past the frame of their vehicle while driving out into your water source and the habitat of the fish that every user on this site wants to catch.

Please encourage ALL visitors to Lavon Lake and this website to follow the regulations and guidelines that protect your resources. Let's lead by example.

i parked at the end of the parkin lot and walked around a little and seen where a truck was stuck the weekend before
