Well it wasnt anything fantastic. but we pulled in about 6, only 2 keepers though, 15" We got a couple on white spinner baits early, but most of them were caught on Culprit Fire n Ice worms. and a gaspergoo on a watermellon brushhog.

I had a similar day.
The waves and winded bruised us up early for 2 hours. I was being hard headed and insisted on fishing my favorite cove that was getting pounded. Finally moved into cover and started catching. If I would have passed on the waves I may have had a better day. Still learning.

On my way out I stopped in a cove that was holding hundreds of alligator gar. They were all a foot long and hanging out. I've seen them breeding before with a handful but there was one every foot or so.

I went out to Ray Hubbard on Friday, and got there late. The wind was nasty and I got soaked on the ride home. I threw all kinds of things at them without a single bite until later afternoon. I caught a couple on Jig n pig. S L O W day, and a lot of work running the trolling motor. I have never been out there before and I should have picked a less windy day. Next time,
Stephen

I have been fishing all over and not having much luck. Everywhere I go there is a crapload of bait around. I hooked a couple nice ones on Saturday but didnt land any. I dont know why it has been so slow.

Noticed that you stumbled upon alligator gar when bass fishing. You mind telling we where those pesky critters are at? I used to bass fish all the time but have become hooked on bow fishing. I will help thin the proverbial herd if you can point me in the right direction. Thanks
