| I just really started trying fishing this year and I really suck at it. All I catch are bass about the size of my hand on little georges while trolling. Right now I really don't care what I catch, I just want to catch something. I have been reading the forum posts for 2 months now and go to all the places you real fisherman talk about and am afraid all I do is run off the fish. HELP PLEASE before I switch to tubing!!!

fish the grass, weeds and fell trees.
ty on a plastic worm and fish it real slow.
any color will work as long as it's black or purple

Big Don, try a different technique. Trolling for fish I am not saying that I haven't done it, but it isn't very fun. Try the worm like Culeoka said. (S L O W) I would suggest going out real early. You could practice on little ponds in your neighborhood. One thing that is working right now in the early am. is top-water. I have been getting to the water before daybreak and it has been great. If you have a boat and you want to get on some fish go to lake Texoma and you will catch a monster on topwater right now. They are killing them up there. The top water lure to use is a chug-bug and it doesn't really matter what color you get, but I would use the salt water version. Don't forget to buy a Texoma license or just stay on the Texas side (hard to decipher, if you don't know the lake)
I have been using a Pop R with a buck tail treble for the back hook. _________________ I'll procrastinate tomorrow
