| Does anyone know of a good RV park on Lake Texoma / Lake Murray that is open this time of year and would be family friendly (playground, nature trails and of course fishing!!)

| Does Eisenhower state park has any sites for an RV close to the lake (easy walking distance)? I went there this past weekend and everything looked like a hike to get anywhere. When leaving they did say there might be a few that I did not see.

At Eisenhower, close to the lake can be way above the lake on a cliff. _________________ Married men don't live longer, it just seems longer!

| That is exactly what I saw when I was there, someone said there might be one of the camp site that might not be located on a cliff, but I must have missed it. I went through 2 of them and both were close but basically either high above or inaccessible from walking down to the lake. You had to drive to do just about anything from the RV. I was going to go back up and look at the one I missed. (I think it was Armadillo Hill I did not look at yet)

Preston Point on Lake Texoma used to have RV hookups close to water.
Might try find a number for them and give them a call.
Here's a bunch to look at here for Lake Texoma
http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/fishboat/fish/recreational/lakes/texoma/access2.phtml#areac
On this site just put a check mark in the radial button for "Parks"
then type Preston Tx in the search, click enter.
Ya get a Map with the Parks on it.

Ended up going to Cedar Mills RV park. I have 4 kids and they had a blast.
Riding bikes, hiking, playing in the water (water temp 80degrees when we were there). Also went out with a fishing guide (Charlie Stringer) with my two girls 9 and 11 and they had a blast. Limited out on striper in 2 hours. I let the girls catch all mine except two ;) The RV had electric, septic, and water and was close to the water. The restuarant was closed due to the flood, but everything else was all good. We drove around both sides of the lake and many of the other parks / places still had damage due to the flood or were closed during this season. I will get some pics up later. I would definitely go back.

| I think Preston Point and Juniper are closed from the flooding on the Texas side... Both have spots close to the water. Eisenhower we really like, but you have to drive to get to water from the campsites...
