I got this yesterday..Someone had made a video of this game, and sent this clip to me.. That's my kid that makes the hit. 6th grade last year. We went undefeated. He was also our tailback.

FANTASTIC!!!!! It is getting close to that time BOYS!!! I love football season. My son is starting his first season. He is going into kindergarten. He is going to play flag football for the YMCA in Plano. Nothing makes you more proud than your son following in your footsteps and enjoying all of your favorite hobbies.
Not to steal the thread, but if anyone in the Plano area has a soon to be kindergartener that wants to play flag football, PM me. We are looking to fill a few spots on our roster. _________________ Life's a sport...

That is what we refer to in football as a "slobberknocker" hit.
Getting antsy. Almost time for the Horns to start playing. "Hook Em"

That's a great job! Fun, ain't it????
Looks like he was on the Chargers. My youngest was on the Chargers in McKinney's league last year. Twleve years old, 5'11", 150 pounds, size 15 shoes, hands like a shovel, takes 5 yards in 2 strides, fast as can be, and has a passion for football. Looks like Gollum from the Lord of the Rings movies.........but he has hair.

| JohnnyD, can't see it, but if it's a picture of Gollum I would say yes. I have a Gollum figurine on my desk at work.

| I'm sure alot of you guys remember your younger playin days. I remember mine like it was yesterday. Started playing in 6th grade when I was short and pudgy. Coach put me at center and noseguard. We had a small team so nearly everone went offense and defese. One of my greatest influences, regarding football, was watching a film of professonal players showing the technique of tackling. It showed how to plany your facemask right between the numbers, wrap your arms at the small of the back, lift your opponent off the ground by driving with your legs and finally slam them to the ground with your facemask still burried between the numbers. As long as you were going faster and was lower to the ground you could tackle people much larger than yourself. It wasn't painfull to be the tackler....not so for the tacklee. A video of something like this would do well for any kid just starting to play today.
