I would like to net some shad for catfishing. Does anyone know where I can find shad that's not too far from Bratonia Park off of 546 this time of year?

This morning the small shad was all along the bank just south of the boat ramp, inches from the bank. All I had to do was drop one side of the net on land and toss the other side a caught lots. I've never see shad this a away. At first I thought they were minnows or some other small fish until I saw a couple jump out of the water.

I caught some cutters just out from the boat ramp.
